Whiteman, Esq., of Philadelphia : a very select collection of books in the various departments of belles lettres : among the books will be found Mather's Magnalia, ed. 1702; Columbus' first letter, Basle, 1494; Bradford Club Series; Bacon's Works, 15 vols., large paper; Book of St. Albans; Ireland's Shaksperian forgeries; Independent Whig, printed by Keimer, 1721; Painter's Palace of pleasure; Abbotsford Waverly, 12 vols.; Shakespeareana; old plays; all the best editions of the old English dramatists, a large number of privately printed and large paper works; many very rare works relating to America, and the whole library is well enriched with extra engravings, newspaper cuttings, autographs, etc., etc. : the whole to be sold by auction, on Wednesday, December 5th, and the following days, at the Trade Sale Rooms, 498 Broadway, commencing at 4 o'clock, P.M. each day.
