Mr. Butler, from the Committee on the District of Columbia, submitted the following report: The Committee on the District of Columbia, to whom was referred the petition of George R. Herrick, one of the members of the metropolitan police force of the District of Columbia in 1867, claiming the amount due him under the joint resolution approved February 28, 1867, giving additional compensation to certain employes [sic] in the civil service of the government at Washington, have duly considered the same and make the following report...
